Ah, I see. So after checking Fairphone's news releases, apparently it's very difficult to get Android 14 to run on FP3, so they stopped. But LineageOS goes up to Android 15 for FP3 at this point in time, so to me it sounds like they were able to fix those problems and should get you what you want.
If LineageOS is exactly the same as Android minus Google, perhaps that isn't the case after all.
It's a bit more complicated than that, but for starters that's the right way to think about it.
In any case, to me it sounds like LineageOS and other LineageOS based Android-ROMS might give you what you want
